The 13th Annual Morongo Charity Golf Tournament – More Than Just a Reason to Golf

Cabazon, California – Morongo Casino Resort & Spa will expand on its profile as a good corporate citizen by hosting the 13th Annual Morongo Charity Golf Tournament on Friday, May 29. Since its inception in 1996 this yearly event has raised million of dollars for local area charities

“Morongo enjoys giving back to the community, especially to the great charitable organizations chosen this year,” said John Momaney, director of marketing at Morongo Casino Resort & Spa. “Even in a down economy, the outreach and support we have seen is amazing.”

This year’s charitable event will benefit four different charities. The first charity, the Unforgettables Foundation, helps with the many crises surrounding the death of a child. Next, the Joe Baca Foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of life and servicing the community while St Jude’s Children’s Hospital conducts research and treats children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. Finally, the California School for the Deaf – Riverside offers comprehensive educational and extra-curricular programs that prepare students to achieve their full academic, social, and career potential.

The Morongo Charity Golf Tournament is open to golfers and non-golfers alike. All attendees are invited to a cocktail party and dinner after the event and each golfer will receive a gift bag and the opportunity to win many exciting prizest. Sponsorship opportunities are still available as well.

The tournament will be held at the East Valley Golf Club, “Home of the Southern California PGA” with a shotgun start at 11 a.m. Golfer registration begins at 9:30 a.m. and is $350.00.
